As Chief Financial Advisor of Schatz Development, Rahier Rahman is involved in all phases of the real estate acquisition process, including sourcing, financial modeling and due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation. Rahier previously managed the investment process at Theseus Investment Partners, a micro-cap private equity firm. Prior to that, he worked at Cerberus Capital Management, focusing on senior financings and workouts (stressed and distressed investments). Before joining Cerberus, Rahier was one of the initial members of MFC Capital Funding, a leveraged lending platform backed by billionaire investor Carl Pohlad. At MFC, he was responsible for originating, closing, and managing senior and subordinated financings for lower middle-market private equity sponsors.
Rahier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and an Honor's concentration in Game Theory. He received an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the University Of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is an active volunteer with "Imerman Angels," a Chicago-based one-to-one cancer support group.
